Small town diner with large portions...LOTS of options to choose from whether you're there for breakfast, lunch or dinner. On a whole, you can't go wrong with anything. Nice waitstaff too. The whole in the wall type atmosphere with the ugly printed carpet adds to the charm I think LOL but its clean inside. If you're in Oak Park, stop by. Wish it was open a little later tho .

This is a local favorite!! I have been coming here for years. With that being said..a few things have changed. 1. Their pecan pancakes which used to be more a desert breakfast.. Is now just regular pancakes with pecans. Such a let down!. 2. The prices have went up 3.and the portion can now only feed two instead of 3 ( which I guess is okay) Stick to the omelettes.. They are the only thing that hasn't changed

Great place, food, service, I always know I will have to share and still have some for later.

It's a really large place friendly people and the staff reminds you of home. Along with great food. Today though, my hash browns were a little too crunchy but only on the top otherwise I'm happy as usual. The servings are so large you could actually split the meal and you both would be full.

Service is always amazing and food is even better. Great breakfast and they make you feel like family.

Been going here for 20 years.....and its still good as ever! The omelets are out of this world (and I'm not really an omelet gal...).

Nothing too fancy schmancy but if you're hankering for a breakfast to keep you full until supper this is the place. Huge omelets with a plethora of fillings including ham & pineapple, hot sausage & sauerkraut, or assemble your own. I opted for the corned beef, onions, peppers, and cheese- quite good-not too salty as corned beef can sometimes be. Husband had three pancakes that almost the size of the plate itself. I was really impressed that the waitress remembered my husband and his friend as Reuben regulars from a few years back. No frill, get you fill kind of place.

I am always a fan of this place. Still consistent and have been coming here since I was a kid. Really a 4.5 star place, but for it's price, portion, and quality, it would be a 4-5 star any given day.

A busy place for oak park area. Our breakfast was good, nothing over the top.

I've been coming here for several years. If you're in the metro Detroit area...this is a must to go to. It's not a fancy restaurant. The service is good and the waitresses quickly learn you and your menu choices. Check them out! I don't like their coffee but I'm a big coffee drinker. However, it's still good coffee. One negative is their Chicken Gyro...don't bother. If you like omelets...you'll need another stomach. If you like hashbrowns...same thing. I like the Carol and Rachel omelet. Yum. I also like the He-man breakfast. Pick anyone and you'll be satisfied and full for the day.

the coolidge cafe was an accidental eating venture while moving into our new home. while in transit the bf called me and said he wanted breakfast and didn't want to wait or he would loose his appetite (he's a little bit of a drama queen). i happened to be driving past the coolidge cafe and pulled in and told him to meet me. the sunday church hats were worth the stop. my irish omelette was alright and really large enough for three meals. the combination of hashbrowns, bacon, sour cream, and cheese was pretty good. the bf did not enoy his breakfast. he said the grits were instant and not that great. the inside was very open and the ceiling very tall. it was sooo loud inside. i normally enjoy hustle and bustle, but this was not good. love, juston

A Diamond in the rough! I'm from the nearby neighborhood & never thought twice about this restaurant as i passed it daily(How foolish I have been). The menu is so huge it takes about 20 minutes to scan. My customer service experience at the cafe was full of sweet statements from the staff like "anything for u sweetie" and " you need anything else honey". The omelet I ordered was so tasty I almost kicked my shoes off in pure delight! I now understand why this little cafe is always so packed. I was slow to recognize a neighborhood jewel. Shame on me!!!

Order out! Food used to be better, now just decent, service sucks! Waitress was more of a comedian than a waitress. Had to ask for stuff twice.

I've only been once, for breakfast, and had a pretty good omelette. My only complaints were 1. the smoking law hadn't kicked in yet and it was smooooookey as all hell and 2. there are so many breakfast items on the menu it's almost impossible to choose something. I'll be back now that us non-smokers have won the war. It's nice to know I have a breakfast place like this down the street from my new (old) home.

Delicious omelets too big for one human. I have only been to Coolidge Cafe during breakfast but I have tried at least 10 of the 50 different omelets on the menu. The omelets are sinfully full of fixings and the cooks are not afraid to provide you with a heart stopping amount of cheese. For a special treat and only if you are in top physical health I suggest the Layla's Omelet. Great service huge menu try it for breakfast you will leave full and happy.

Tradtional American dining at it's finest. I've been going to Coolidge Cafe for years now, and although I haven't tried everything, I have yet to order an item I didn't like. If you want a great breakfast, this is the place you want to be. Every item on their breakfast menu is what IHOP wishes it could be. Their dinners are just as good, if not better. Want a meal that tastes great & won't break the bank? Stop in at Coolidge Cafe.

I dined in this place sometime last year and I really wasn't that impressed. The place was busy, as most diners. I ordered an Italian sausage omelet and while we waited I ordered a Sierra Mist, which tasted more like seltzer water so I ordered a Pepsi instead. The interior was a little outdated which usually isn't a problem except that everything seemed worn out, even some of the dishware. However the waitress was nice and the omelet was alright. I don't think I'd be coming back though.
